What is Merchant Account?
A Merchant Account is a unique number (account) of your company in a payment system which allows you to accept payments on payment cards. Opening a Merchant Account, the bank agrees to pay into accounts of your company the assets received as a result of operations on payment cards, for removal of assets from accounts of buyers in banks - emitters.
There are several basic kinds Merchant Accounts:
Low Risk Merchant Account - Merchant Account for low risk business (practically any usual business)
High Risk Merchant Account - Merchant Account for high risk business (the Casino, Game sites, Bookmaking, Lotteries, etc.)
Offshore Merchant Account - Merchant Account, opened for an off-shore company - allows to avoid the taxation. It can be open both for Low Risk Business, and for High Risk Business.
Sub-Merchant Account - the separate account opened in the system of a processing company which allows your company to accept payments on credit cards through processing.
